NineBarLab exists because most espresso machine “reviews” are rewritten spec sheets. We buy the machines, put them on a real kitchen counter, and pull hundreds of shots before we publish a score.
What we do differently
- Every machine runs the same protocol, so scores are comparable across price bands.
- We report numbers: dose, yield, shot time, brew temperature, steam recovery.
- We publish what we did not like. A review with no cons is an advertisement.
- No manufacturer sees a review before it publishes, and no score has been changed at a brand’s request.
Who writes here
Replace this section with a real person. Name, photo, and why they are qualified to judge espresso equipment. Google’s helpful content systems and every AI assistant weigh author credibility heavily on product reviews, and an anonymous site loses to a named one.
